SPAM
Yes, its SPAM!

We have had a lot of people peddling SPAM lately. But it is not the yummy treat used to make Musubi.
So now I will approve all new members. So we can ignore those people who try to waste our time.

Apologies for Delays
Hello all,
I need to apologize for the delays in the process of creating the new Kaburenjo Theater. I have been going through some hard times right now. Recently I had a TIA episode, which is similar to a mini-stroke, but not quite as lengthy. I am doing fine, except for the adjustment to my new medications.
I expect to get back to normal with my plan in the month of May. This may set me back a bit, but who's in a rush? The idea is to make a high quality working …

Kabuki Information
I have researched the Noh and Kabuki theater aspect of Second Life since April Cordeaux asked me to build the theater at Gion Kubo Hanamachi. I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the links I used for that research. The research wasn't only done on the internet, but it is the fastest way to allow those who haven't researched this before to be inspired. Here are some of my links with descriptions.

A Dream for the Future
After many months of soul searching, and procrastinating I have decided to take over management of the Kabuki theatre at Gion Kobu Hanamchi with Sadayako's blessing. I have also created an avatar named Shinako Nyoki so that I have an asian woman as my counterpart in-world.
The theatre will go throu…

Kanamara Matsuri
Although this festival is past, I thought it "interesting" enough to blog.
The Kanamara Matsuri (Festival of the Steel Phallus, かなまら祭り?) is an annual Shinto fertility festival held in Kawasaki, Japan in spring. The exact dates vary: the main festivities fall on the first Sunday in April. The penis forms the central theme of the event that is reflected everywhere—in illustrations, candy, carved vegetables, decorations, and a mikoshi parade.
The Kanamara Matsuri is centered around a local penis-…

Happy Hassaku!!

The changing of seasons has long been observed and celebrated with festivals and sacred rites throughout the world. In ancient Japan, these celebrations and rituals, important for strengthening the bonds between gods and men, as well as among the farmers, were woven with the seasonal rhythms of growing rice, a sacred act on which their lives depended and their…

Dutch ship at Dejima mourning for a week....
Today I got sad news:
"[14:38] Dutch Hoorenbeek:
Notice sent out 07/16/09 9:00 am SLT....
Sorry to to be the bearer of bad new.... But Beek Estate is now no more. I sold the estate to Irene Gwynneville several months back, and have been managing it for her. Today she sold the estate to Ohana Land company. They promptly moved and cleared the sims. Any rent/tier you are owed, needs to be addressed to Irene Gwynneville. I am shutting down all Beek related groups except the Pirate's Keep.
Fair win…
